I did my first shoot yesterday and had a lot of fun. I took pictures of a doctors office and the staff for a website they are building. We did about 2 hours of so and after we got the formal ‘what we need for website’ pics we moved on and decided to do some fun and goofy shoots. The shoot was scheduled for 10am so when we got to the outside shots of the building the light was really harsh – so I am considering going back down in the morning or evening to get some more pictures of the building in a better light. We will see.

Why do I want to get into photography – specifically wedding photography? Why do I want to be able to be in the realm of those amazing wedding photographers such as Jasmine Star, Sass Studios in Australia, Zach & Jody Gray of Gray Photography?
Today I have had to much time to think and let my mind take it’s own path. This morning as I was lying in bed, petting my dog, & trying my hardest to fall back asleep I started wondering if I am good enough. Do I have what it takes? What do I have that will set me apart from others trying to break into this field? I started to doubt myself.
I want some one to show me how to meet my goals – guide me, help me.
I am now at the point in my life where I have the full support of my family to pursue my photography dreams and goals. My husband backs me 100%.
I need to go out get experience – how else am I going to learn? I go out and I shoot landscapes, pets, nature…but not people.
I am scared, scared to go out on my own – scared to ask people if I can photograph them. Scared that I may not be good enough. How do I begin – Where do I begin? Do I start by just asking people if I can shoot with them? Do I interview various photographers to get their ‘insider tips’? How do I build the experience that I need?
I need to trust myself and be confident. I need to get out there. I know I can do it.
